The Panzer III was in combat continuously from 1939 to 1944 and formed the backbone of Hitler's Panzer divisions. During the Second World War, Panzer III saw action in Poland, France, North Africa and the Eastern Front. The Museum's Panzer III went into action in the North African theatre of war and fell into Allied hands in 1942.
It has been meticulously restored by The Tank Museum and is the centerpiece of this manual. The Haynes Panzer III Manual was written and published in association with The Tank Museum, giving the authors full access to the Museum's Panzer III collection.
